Botox® facts

Is this botox® clinic near you?

We provide botox and dermal fillers in our Auckland stores - you can find us at Newmarket or Takapuna.

How Does Botox® Work?

Botox® injections are one of the longest standing and most popular cosmetic procedures worldwide which significantly reduces fine lines and wrinkles. The protein is injected in small doses through tiny needles at specific spots in your face. It works by temporarily blocking nerve signal which causes facial muscles to contract, resulting in more relaxed muscles and smoother appearance.

When Will I See The Effects Of My BOTOX® Injections?

Some people may start to see the effects within 48 hours of getting the treatment. Most will notice the results by day 5 and the full effect occurring at two weeks.

How Long Will My Botox® Injections Last For?

This is dependent on the person. In general results can last up to 4 months. Regular Botox® treatments can help improve longevity and may reduce static wrinkles – you know those pesky lines that hang around even when your face is resting.

What Does It Feel Like To Have Botox® Injections?

Like most things, the experience varies from person to person. We think of it as a small pin prick or scratch. The needle we use is tiny and the procedure is quick. Plus, we believe the cosmetic benefit makes it all worthwhile!

What Is The Process For Getting Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

OFF & ON Auckland stores offer complimentary consultations with our NZ Registered Nurses. We want to find out what’s brought you to us and discuss how we can help achieve your desired outcomes. We also want you to know the facts – going back to our mantra of keeping it real! Creating a treatment plan versus a one-off treatment is central to our philosophy.

What Can You Expect / Are There Common Side Effects?

Botox® treatment is a walk-in, walk-out lunchtime procedure – immediately after treatment you might notice a tiny pink bump where the needle has been introduced, which lasts about 10 minutes and can easily be covered with makeup. Occasionally you might get a small bruise which won’t appear until the day after treatment.
