Kiss Peach Fuzz Goodbye

Dermaplaning, sometimes known as epiblading, safely and effectively removes the "peach fuzz" or fine hair on the face and upper neck. Where laser hair removal and waxing are not suitable, dermaplaning can pick up what’s left. Using a sharp tool - not too unlike a scalpel is methodically brushed along the skin to cut away the unwanted hair, whilst also gently and effectively exfoliating the skin, leaving your face looking and feeling polished.

Why dermaplaning at OFF & ON?

GOODBYE PEACH FUZZ, HELLO PERFECT FACE.

That halo… velvety vellus… the glistening shimmer of soft hairs in the light… the mass of fine fluffies showing under your make up… aka. PEACH FUZZ.

Facial hair is a tricky business – after all, it’s your face. And it is Murphy’s Law that the hair on your face is the hardest to tackle. For so long, many have been stuck in a no man’s (or in this case woman’s) land of hair removal options for the face – too fine and light for laser, too sensitive for waxing, too young, too old, too obvious, too risky etc.

At OFF & ON we have taken dermaplaning and fine-tuned it to focus specifically on its hair removal prowess (with a side of exfoliation for your skin). No risk, no down time, no chemicals. Gentle, suitable for all and more than slightly addictive.

DERMAPLANING BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT.

We know hair, and how to get rid of it but if we are honest there was always one frustration – fine flufflies on the face. We have taken the best part of the dermaplaning treatment and honed it for hair removal specifically. Our technique, tools and training are all designed to get the best smooth result for your face and finally offer the best solution for that pesky peach fuzz.

Dermaplaning removes the hair on skins surface as close as possible. Using a sharp sterile tool we methodically brush along the skin to remove hair, whilst gently exfoliating the skin – it is literally the smoothest shave in town.

EVERYONE IS INVITED.

For many, traditional hair removal solutions are not options for vellus hair on the face. Dermaplaning is an option for all and finally resolves the issues facing many with their facial hair. Too young, too old, too light, too sensitive – Dermaplaning fills the gap for those that are not candidates for other hair removal methods.

NO RISK, ALL REWARD.

Added bonus – this is the ultimate ‘no one need ever know about’ transformation, able to be done in the space of your lunch break. No chemicals, no risk, no pain, no downtown… literally no pain, all gain.

AND A SIDE OF SMOOTH SKIN.

Hair removal that feels like a facial? Yes please. This is hair removal with a bonus. Through the dermaplaning process we exfoliate your skin to reveal its baby fresh smoothness. A more clear canvas than ever, better absorption of products, and a smoother make-up application. We know… where has it been all your life?

    • Removes hairs that waxing and laser cannot.

    • Instantly smoother appearance.

    • No down time - can return to work, or apply make-up.

    • Improves make up application – a must have before a special occasion, e.g. wedding.

    • With an added bonus of instantly improving the skin tone and texture due to the exfoliation.

    • Safe for pregnant and lactating women.

    • Minimises fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Everyone! All skin types and skin tones. Even the most sensitive skin can have dermaplaning (excluding a few contraindications, for example acne).

  • No, dermaplaning is totally pain free. After the treatment your skin may have some redness that should normally calm in 2 to 4 hours. The sensation you feel is a light pressure.

  • We recommended every 3-4 weeks to keep the canvas clear but dermaplaning can also be a one-off treatment for a special occasion.

  • First time sessions can take up to 1 hour and includes a full consultation and hair analysis. Returning sessions typically take 45 mins.

  • The most common question with a simple answer: No.

The hair follicle contains the DNA which is programmed to produce the hair type. Dermaplaning will not alter the DNA of the follicle therefore it is impossible to make the hair thicker or darker than before.

  • Shaving or dermaplaning simply blunts the end of the hair follicle, making it feel thicker and coarser at the top of the follicle.
